Now that the end is in sight for the referendum, I am thinking about my path to victory for 2024 and volunteers YOU ARE THE CENTRE OF IT! All candidates know, and I am no exception, that the campaign team is the foundation of any campaign. This is your opportunity to join mine! I am looking for passionate, experienced and energetic Labor Party members to help win back The Gabba. Or if you’re keen to learn we can buddy you up with someone more experienced. I believe Labor has a real chance of winning The Gabba back from the Greens. Some of the roles and skills we are looking for are listed below. The team will also have deputy roles to allow for cover where it’s needed. Deputies will have experience and an understanding of the role and be able to step up or support when needed.
ROLES & RESPONSABILITIES:
CAMPAIGN MANAGER
STRATEGIC THINKER? Maybe you want to be a Campaign Manager : Supports Campaign Director to develop campaign strategy and plan Meets regularly with Campaign Director to amend/update strategy and plan Works with the Director to monitor polling and undertake research to support the campaign has a good understanding of The Gabba Ward including layout, communities, issues Identifies emerging issues and supports Campaign Director and Communications/Social Media Officer to develop responses
FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR
GREAT WITH ASKING FOR $$$ AND ORGANISING EVENTS? Maybe Fundraising Coordinator is the role for you: Works with Candidate, Campaign Director and Treasurer to develop fundraising strategy and plan Support event organization Facilitates donor contact and engagement with Candidate ARTY, DESIGN-Y, VISUAL,
COMMUNICATIONS/SOCIAL MEDIA OFFICER
GREAT WITH MESSAGING? Sounds like you would be a perfect Communications/Social Media officer: Works with Candidate and Campaign Director to develop social media plan Manages social media and communications to ensure quick turnaround Manages media enquiries Identifies emerging/hot issues and liaises with Director to develop response Corrects/refutes misinformation Manages campaigns social media strategy
